Compass group, (our church's version of small group) was at our house this week and I thought that I might try to make a really cute cake I found online. Here is the product of this little thought.....
The original cake was a chocolate one I think, so I substituted blueberries and strawberries for the chocolate decorations. A little bit more summery and a little healthier or so I tell myself. I had to have something to balance out all the cream cheese.
Blueberry Cream Cheese Cake...baked fresh in the stoneware pan Mamaw gave me. :)
Green cream cheese frosting
The two round cakes after I free-hand carved them into the dino shape.
The finished product!
My bowl of fresh blueberries, the frosting, and my hot cup of water with which I cleaned my spatula between smoothings. Ha! What a professional, right? :D
So, if you know anyone in the market for a cheap, specialty, cake made with great love in the central arkansas area, send 'em my direction. :D
It sure was fun to spend the day in the kitchen. The cake turned out pretty cute and it was pretty tasty. I felt that it was a rewarding project. :)

So cute! I have to figure out how to make a butterfly cake for Abby's birthday in August... don't they make pans in the shape of these things?? :)
How cute! Why was there a dinosaur theme, or was that just a whim? Love it. The blueberries and strawberries are a great idea.
